Mohd. Kaif will bat in Elections 2014 for Congress

After showing his talent in cricket field, now Mohd. Kaif will try his luck in politics now as a Congress candidate. He has been given the Loksabha election ticket from Phulpur parliamentary constituency, Uttar Pradesh.
Cricketers entering politics after their cricketing career is over is a very old trend now. Mohd. Kaif is the latest name in this list. The list of cricketers turned politicians comprises of Navjot Singh Sidhu, Mohd. Azharuddin, Kirti Azad, Mansur Ali Khan, Jyoti Yadav, etc,
However, till date none of the cricketers has been able to make a stable ground in politics, they just act as crowd puller due to their popularity and the craze of cricket in India.
Mohd. Kaif got famous after his winning knock of 87 runs(75 balls) against England in the final match of Natwest Trophy, 2002 in the Lords Stadium. He was the best fielder of his times in Indian team.
Mohd. Kaif states that he wants to fight elections that he is highly inspired by Rahul Gandhi and this is the major reason for contesting elections.
