China used high-way strip for flying warplanes

In order to use high-way strips apart from regular run-ways China’s Air Force, for the first time, successfully test flew warplanes from a high-way strip in Central China’s Henan Province.  The test was carried on Sunday in order to develop an alternate way for landing and taking- off planes.  It can also be used in exercises and training for Military airplanes as well as emergency landings during wartime, media report says.
Flight tests of military aircraft including the third generation warplanes were held on the Zhengzhou-Minguan highway, ‘Xinhua’ news agency reported. The strip used for test flights is one of the best road run-ways of China, Liu Shenyang, Deputy Chief of the Jinan Military area command said. The high can be used as an alternative airport for civilian airplanes also.  The test enhanced the air force’s capabilities of emergency landing and coordination between military and civilian force, report says.
