Trip to Mussoorie

The first week of October, 2014 was full of celebrations and holidays, sitting at home would have been boring, so I and my wife decided to make a short trip to Mussoorie. The hotels were full and crowded so it was one day trip for us. We started at 8 am in the morning, the weather in Dehradun was also cold so we made no mistake and dressed ourselves properly to avoid any health problem afterwards.

The distance from Dehradun to Mussoorie is 25 Kms approx. and from our house it will increase by 7-8 kms. We planned to go by my two-wheeler Aviator as we wanted to enjoy the open air ride and feel the nature at its best.

The curvy roads, beautiful landscapes filled us with excitement; there was mist everywhere which added to the fun.

On reaching Mussoorie, I parked my Aviator in the market and we went straightway to Mall road, where my wife was excited on seeing the shops selling shawls, stoles at reasonable prices.  After a little bit of shopping, we went to Ropeway office to buy tickets for Gun Hill, but we needed to wait for nearly one and half an hour for our chance, so we decided to go by foot to Gun Hill. It was tiresome but it was worth taking pain as we kept clicking pics in the beautiful surroundings and after reaching on the top, it was just awesome.
We had our lunch at a restaurant on the Gun Hill and spent good time there.

We started our back home journey around 4 pm but due to heavy traffic, it took us nearly 2 hours in reaching home.
