History Created By Indian Women Cricketer, Harmanpreet Kaur, First One To Sign This Deal

Harmanpreet Kaur is one of the most talented and popular players of the Indian women cricket team and she has garnered a huge fan following because of the brilliant knocks that she played in the matches. She also played an important part during the ICC Women’s World cup 2017 and now she has made history by signing a bat endorsement deal with CEAT.

This two-year deal was signed on Monday and after signing it, Harmanpreet Kaur has joined the league of Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan. Now she will be using a bat in all the formats which will display CEAT insignia.

This is what Harmanpreet stated in a release,

"I am delighted to be associated with CEAT that is already represented by icons of Indian cricket. Taking the momentum of 2017 forward I look forward to putting in consistent performances for the team this year.”

She is the vice-captain of the team and her score of 171 runs which she scored against Australia in the 2017 World Cup semi-final is the highest individual score made by any Indian women cricketer in the history of world cup.

Nitish Bajaj, the Vice President Marketing, CEAT Limited stated,

"The Indian Women's cricket team has been performing brilliantly over the years and we at CEAT strongly believe in supporting the sport. We are proud to sign Harmanpreet Kaur as our first women cricketer on board, who has been an inspiration to budding cricketers on and off the field."

Harmanpreet is also the first Indian women cricketer to be signed by an overseas franchise for a T20 tournament as she played for Sydney Thunder in the 2016-17 Women's Big Bash League.

This is definitely a boost for the Indian Women cricket and we are hopeful that other women cricketers will also get some good endorsement deals.
