Even Salman Khan Is Surprised To Know That He Replaced Arijit In Welcome To New York. Check Out The Truth

Everybody knows that superstar Salman Khan is not happy with singer Arijit Singh and there were reports that because of Salman Khan, Arijit has lost a song which he was supposed to sing for the movie, Welcome To New York.

The scuffle between the two started in an award show and if you remember, some time back Arijit posted an emotional post on Facebook apologising Salman Khan and requesting him to keep song, “Jug Ghoomeya” in his voice in the movie Sultan but Salman recorded that song again in the voice of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Again Arijit lost Dil Diyan Gallan from Tiger Zinda Hai and Atif Aslam got to sing the song.

It was being said that Salman wants to make sure that Arijit doesn’t get to sing a song in his movies, irrespective of the fact that whether he is in the main lead or cameo. However, now it seems that there is no truth in these reports as a source told Bollywoodlife,

“One needs to get this right that Welcome To New York is not Salman’s film. He just has one special appearance in the film so why will he even get into the music space? He himself is surprised after reading these baseless reports. Maybe Arijit could have lost out on the song because of his own monetary differences with the producers. After all, it’s the producers who take the final call.”

This is what the director of the movie, Chakri Toleti has to say in this matter,

“We are yet to decide on what to do. There have been films (with Pakistani singers), which have managed to go by without any hassle. There needs to be a balance between social responsibility and creative freedom. But people shouldn’t have to compromise on artistic liberties.”

What is your take on this matter, do let us know in the comments section.
