Some facts about KFC

The creator of KFC, “Colonel Sanders”, was actually a gas station manager, whose real name was Harland Sanders.

The first KFC restaurant was opened outside of Sanders gas station, and was originally called Sanders Court & Cafe.

The first ever bucket of KFC chicken was sold in 1952.

KFC is consumed by nearly 8 million people per day in the US alone

The KFC franchise is open in 80 countries around the world.

In 1982, KFC was acquired by Nabisco. But after some time Pepsi Co acquired Nasisco , so now KFC is acquired by Pepsi Co.

THe original, still secret recipe, was invented in 1940.

The secret recipe for KFC chicken is kept in a safe in Louisville, KY.

In 2007, KFC decided to keep the original recipe, but fry the chicken in a different type of oil so that trans fat was removed.

KFC is routinely boycotted by organizations like PETA for what they consider animal rights violations committed against chickens.

Beni babu what did you just said?

Beni babu is very happy with the rising inflation as it is helpful for the farmers, really is it so? What is the logic behind this statement…oh, my mistake, how can a statement given by a politician can have a logic, it has to be illogical, vague and stupid.
The cost of seeds, fertilizers, labour everything else connected to agriculture is going up but Beni babu is very happy. The farmers are in a state of misery as they are not able to pay their debts and forced to commit suicide but Beni babu is very happy.
In fact, the farmers themselves must be shocked that how can they be happy when the inflation is rising. The farmers are unknown to their happiness but Beni babu knows everything about farmer’s happiness and he is very happy.
This simple example shows us that what type of people we are sending to Parliament, they are not only lacking professional qualifications but they are also lacking the basic human common sense.
This example not only portrays the stupidity of our politicians but it also depicts foolishness on the part of Indian public as we are the people who are giving them our votes and making them capable of becoming ministers while in reality they are not even capable of being appointed as peons.

How to become rich ? Part -1

If this question is asked to anyone, the probable answer will be that you should have a high earning job or you should be the owner of a business which should be the source of good income. But is earning good amount is the only way to get rich? Or maybe it is just one aspect of the answer to this question.
Earning good amount on regular basis is one important aspect of becoming rich; the other important aspect is to save a good amount regularly. For example, if we consider two persons X and Y, suppose X earns Rs. 30000 per month while Y earns Rs. 20000 per month, X lives his life in a lavish style and spends a lot on parties, outings, shopping while Y is a reasonable spender, he spends only when it is required, he also go for parties, outings and shopping but he has an habit of keeping in control. On an average X saves only Rs. 2000 per month while Y saves Rs. 6000 per month, so by simple mathematical calculation we can make out that in one year X will have Rs. 24000 in his saving account while Y’s account will have Rs. 72000. Despite earning more than Y, X is poorer than Y.
In simple words, saving as more important as earning and a person should be conscious about his/her expenses and should cut out any unnecessary expenses and save money.
Let us discuss some ways of saving money and becoming rich :

1)      Save electricity and keep a check on the bill : electricity should be used reasonably and keep in mind to switch off all the lights when you are leaving house and never waste electricity as it is national property. By using power in a reasonable manner you can not only save your money but you can also help your country as Saving of electricity = production of electricity .

2)      Save water: water is also national property as power and it should not be wasted as it is already in scarcity, by keeping a check on the wastage of water you should reduce your water bills as well as do your country some good.

3)      Limit petrol expenses : In India, in last two years the petrol prices have gone up by almost Rs 30/ litre, so we should also make sure that we are using our vehicles when they are necessary and if you are travelling alone in city prefer to travel by public transport or two-wheelers whose average is more than car. Cars should be used only when the whole family is travelling together.

4)      Limit junk food : prefer to eat home food as it is more healthy and cheap in comparison to junk food. Eating junk food regularly will also increase your medical expenses as they are unhygienic and unhealthy and after a time limit your digestion is not able to cope up with your unhealthy habits.

5)      Drinking habits : avoid liquor as much as possible as it is unhealthy and costly as well. The soft drinks available in market should also be avoided and you should prefer to drink fruit juices as they are both refreshing and healthy.

We will be discussing more ways of saving money and becoming rich in next part.

Satyamev Jayate - 6th episode

We all, at some point of time criticizes GOD or ourselves for our present situation, we always keep complaining for what we don’t have and never offer gratitude to GOD for what he has given us, and if you are also possessing these traits, then you are a part of the group of stupid and thankless people and you need to watch the sixth episode of Satyamev Jayate.

The sixth episode of satyamev jayate talks about those people who may be lacking a deficiency in case of physical structure but when it comes to courage, motivation and hope, they are far superior to normal human beings. The sixth episode talks about the physical handicapped people and their courageous ways of facing life.

First of all, what I have learnt from this episode and want to spread my learning is that never show mercy to any physically handicap person, for he doesn’t need it, he is by no means any less to me or any other human being on this earth. Secondly, if anyone believes that physical deformation in a person is the result of some evil deeds performed by him in his last birth, then you need to educate him and tell him that his belief is baseless and you can support it by the fact that in the last one year no case of POLIO has been reported in the whole country and it not because people have stopped committing crimes or evil deeds but because of the campaign that has been ran by the Government of India in which they have given anti-polio medicine to every kid, supported by the some celebrities as well like Amitabh Bachchan.

The guests on the show were also very lively and this was due to the fact that they have accepted life as it has came to them and never complained about it. Apart from doing jobs in multinationals, they are involved in activities like trekking, skydiving and other sports and leading a normal life. This episode was an eye opener for all those who are crying for what they don’t have rather than enjoying and utilizing what they have.

GAYATRI MANTRA AND MANTRA'S SCIENTIFIC INTERPRETATION

received in email....very knowledgable

Gayatri mantra has been bestowed the greatest importance in Vedic dharma. This mantra has also been termed as Savitri and Ved-Mata, the mother of the Vedas.

Om bhur bhuvah swah
Tat savitur varenyam
Bhargo devasya dheemahi
Dhiyo yo nah prachodayat

The literal meaning of the mantra is:
O God! You are Omnipresent, Omnipotent and Almighty, You are all Light. You are all Knowledge and Bliss. You are Destroyer of fear, You are Creator of this Universe, You are the Greatest of all. We bow and meditate upon Your light. You guide our intellect in the right direction.

The mantra, however, has a great scientific importance too, which somehow got lost in the literary tradition. The modern astrophysics and astronomy tell us that our Galaxy called Milky Way or Akash-Ganga contains approximately 100,000 million of stars. Each star is like our sun having its own planet system. We know that the moon moves round the earth and the earth moves round the sun along with the moon. All planets round the sun. Each of the above bodies revolves round at its own axis as well. Our sun along with its family takes one round of the galactic center in 22.5 crore years. All galaxies including ours are moving away at a terrific velocity of 20,000 miles per second.

The alternative scientific meaning of the mantra
Line by Line

Line 1:
 OM BHUR BHUVAH SWAH:
Bhur the earth, bhuvah the planets (solar family), swah the Galaxy. We observe that when an ordinary fan with a speed of 900 RPM (rotations Per minute) moves, it makes noise. Then, one can imagine, what great noise would be created when the galaxies move with a speed of 20,000 miles per second. This is what this portion of the mantra explains that the sound produced due to the fast-moving earth, planets and galaxies is Om. The sound was heard during meditation by Rishi Vishvamitra, who mentioned it to other colleagues. All of them, then unanimously decided to call this sound Om the name of God, because this sound is available in all the three periods of time, hence it is set (permanent). Therefore, it was the first ever revolutionary idea to identify formless God with a specific title (form) called upadhi. Until that time, everybody recognized God as formless and nobody was prepared to accept this new idea. In the Gita also, it is said, "Omiti ekaksharam brahma", meaning that the name of the Supreme is Om , which contains only one syllable (8/12). This sound Om heard during samadhi was called by all the seers nada-brahma a very great noise), but not a noise that is normally heard beyond a specific amplitude and limits of decibels suited to human hearing. Hence the rishis called this sound Udgith musical sound of the above, i.e., heaven. They also noticed that the infinite mass of galaxies moving with a velocity of 20,000 miles/second was generating a kinetic energy = 1/2 MV2 and this was balancing the total energy consumption of the cosmos. Hence they named it Pranavah, which means the body (vapu) or store house of energy (prana).http://keralites.net/
Line 2:   TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM:
Tat that (God), savitur the sun (star), varenyam worthy of bowing or respect. Once the form of a person along with the name is known to us, we may locate the specific person.Hence the two titles (upadhi) provide the solid ground to identify the formless God, Vishvamitra suggested. He told us that we could know (realize) the unknowable formless God through the known factors, viz., sound Om and light of suns (stars). A mathematician can solve an equation x2+y2=4; if x=2; then y can be known and so on. An engineer can measure the width of a river even by standing at the riverbank just by drawing a triangle. So was the scientific method suggested by Vishvamitra in the mantra in the next portion as under:-

Line 3:
BHARGO DEVASYA DHEEMAHI:
Bhargo the light, devasya of the deity, dheemahi we should meditate. The rishi instructs us to meditate upon the available form (light of suns) to discover the formless Creator (God). Also he wants us to do japa of the word Om (this is understood in the Mantra). This is how the sage wants us to proceed, but there is a great problem to realize it, as the human mind is so shaky and restless that without the grace of the Supreme (Brahma) it cannot be controlled. Hence Vishvamitra suggests the way to pray Him as under:

Line 4:
DHIYO YO NAH PRACHODAYAT
Dhiyo (intellect), yo (who), nah (we all), prachodayat (guide to right Direction). O God! Deploy our intellect on the right path. Full scientific interpretation of the Mantra: The earth (bhur), the planets (bhuvah), and the galaxies (swah) are moving at a very great velocity, the sound produced is Om , (the name of formless God.) That God (tat), who manifests Himself in the form of light of suns (savitur) is worthy of bowing/respect (varenyam). We all, therefore, should meditate (dheemahi) upon the light (bhargo) of that deity (devasya) and also do chanting of Om. May He (yo) guide in right direction (prachodayat) our(nah) intellect dhiyo.

The important points hinted in the mantra are

1) The total kinetic energy generated by the movement of galaxies acts as an umbrella and balances the total energy consumption of the cosmos. Hence it was named as the Pranavah
(body of energy). This is equal to 1/2 mv2
(Mass of galaxies x square of velocity.)

2) Realizing the great importance of the syllable OM , the other later date religions adopted this word
with a slight change in accent,
viz., Amen and Ameen.

What is the Dress code for the Interview?

As we are already discussing the questions asked in an interview, let us not forget one of the most important aspect of facing interview, i.e the dress code for the interview

The dress worn by a candidate has a great impact on the interviewer as it reflects the attitude and personality of the candidate. The candidate should be very careful while choosing his/ her dress for the interview. The dress should be simple and sober and definitely not a flashy one. The dress helps a candidate in making a good first impression which creates a positive image of the candidate in the mind of the interviewer. If the candidate is not properly dressed, he will unnecessary create problems for himself even before the first question is asked.

Dress code for male candidates –

Male candidates should be in light color shirt and dark color trousers, tie should be matching with the shirt and trouser. Never wear ankle socks for an interview and also keep in mind that color of the socks should also match with the trousers and shoes. The color of shoes and belt should be same. One thing that a candidate should also keep in mind that he shouldn’t wear shirt with designs or checks for an interview as tie with a check design shirt is a big NO. The candidate should be shaved and hair properly combed, shoes must be polished.

Dress code for female candidates –

Dresses for the female candidates which are suited for interview are business suits and sarees. Business suits give a professional look to the candidate and the shirt should not be very dark colored, try to wear light color shirt. Saree should also be sober and simple with light design on it and it should be different for the saree worn in functions and parties. The makeup should be simple as you are going for an interview and not for a party.
Remember, the only thing which matters most for an interviewer is the ATTITUDE for the candidate and everything comes after that.
