Social networking site Facebook has offered a package of 1.33 crores per annum (INR), which is equivalent to 2,62,500 US Dollars per annum, to an engineering student of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad. This student will join the Silicon office of Facebook , which is situated in California, in October this year as an Software Engineer. This the highest pay package offered to any student of National Institutes of Technology, till now.
The student’s name has been kept secret till now due to some security reasons. The offer letter was received by the student on 27 March, 2012 and the student belongs to the middle class family of Kanpur.
Tanuj Nandan, member of Press and Media Cell of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, told that of all the 30 National Institutes of Technology, this is the highest pay package offered to any student.
This is really a good news for all the Engineering aspirants.
