The Secrets..the Powers

* The First Secret: The power of Love.
Love begins with our thoughts. We become what we think. Loving thoughts create loving experiences and loving relationships. Affirmations can change our beliefs and thoughts about ourselves and others. If we want to love someone, we need to consider their needs and desires. Thinking about your ideal partner will help recognize him or her when you meet.

* The Second Secret: The power of Respect.
You cannot love anyone or anything unless you first respect them. The first person you need to respect is yourself. To begin to gain self-respect ask yourself,
"What do I respect about myself? " To gain respect for others, even those you may dislike, ask yourself, "What do I respect about them?"

* The Third Secret: The power of Giving.
If you want to receive love, all you have to do is give it! The more love you give, the more you will receive. To love is to give of yourself, freely and
unconditionally. Practice random acts of kindness. The secret formula of a happy, lifelong relationship is to always focus on what you can give instead of you can take.

* The Fourth Secret: The power of Friendship.
To find true love you must first find a true friend. To love someone completely you must love them for who they are not what they look like. Friendship is the
soil through which love's seeds grow. If you want to bring love into a relationship, you must first bring friendship.

* The Fifth Secret: The power of Touch.
Touch is one of the most powerful expressions of love, breaking down barriers and bonding relationships. Touch changes our physical and emotional states and
makes us more receptive to love.

* The Sixth Secret: The power of Letting go.
If you love something, let it be free. Even in a loving relationship, people need their space. If we want to learn to love, we must first learn to forgive
and let go of past hurts and grievances. Love means letting go of our fears, prejudices, egos and conditions.

* The Seventh Secret: The power of Communication.
To love someone is to communicate with them. Let the people you love know; that you love and appreciate them. Never be afraid to say, "I love you." Never let an opportunity pass to praise and acknowledge someone. Always leave someone you love with a loving word ... it could be the last time you see them.

* The Eighth Secret: The power of Commitment.
If you want to have love in abundance, you must be committed to it. Commitment is the true test of love. If you want to have loving relationships, you must be committed to loving relationships. When you are committed to someone or something, quitting is never an option. Commitment distinguishes a fragile
relationship from a strong, loving one.

* The Ninth Secret: The power of Passion.

Passion ignites love and keeps it alive. Lasting passion does not come through physical attraction alone. It comes from deep commitment, enthusiasm, interest and excitement. The essence of love and happiness are the same, all we need to do is to live each day with passion.

* The Tenth Secret: The power of Trust.
You cannot love someone completely unless you trust them completely. Act as if your relationship with the person you love will never end. Trust is essential in
all loving relationships. Trust yourself, trust others and trust the world. It is the foundation for LOVE.

GOD and Us

"Whatever you give me, Maharaj," replied the beggar.
"Here, take this ten rupee note. You can have nice food for at least three days." The beggar walked away with the ten rupee note.

The third beggar came. "Oh Lord, I have heard about your noble qualities. Therefore, I have come to see you. Men of such charitable disposition are verily the manifestations of God on earth," he said.

"Please sit down," said the millionaire. "You appear to be tired. Please take this food," he said, and offered food to the beggar.
"Now please tell me what I can do for you."

"Oh Lord," replied the beggar; "I merely came to meet such a  noble personage that you are. You have given me this rich food already. What more need I get from you? You have already shown extraordinary kindness towards me. May God bless you!"

But the millionaire, struck by the beggar's spirit, begged of the beggar to remain with him, built a decent house for him in his own compound, and looked after him for the rest of his life.

God is like this good millionaire. Three classes of people approach Him, with three different desires and prayers. There is the greedy man full of vanity, full of arrogance, full of desires. He demands the objects of worldly enjoyment from God. Since this man, whatever be his vile desires, has had the good sense to approach God, He grants him some part of the desired objects (even these very soon pass away, just as the two rupees the first beggar got are spent before nightfall).

The other type of devotee prays to the Lord for relief from the sufferings of the world, but is better than the first one, in as much as he is ready to abide by His Will. To him the Lord grants full relief from suffering, and bestows on him much wealth and property.

The third type  he merely prays to the Lord: "O Lord, Thou art Existence-Absolute, Knowledge-Absolute, Bliss-Absolute, etc., etc." What does he want? Nothing. But the Lord is highly pleased with his spirit of renunciation, of desirelessness and of self-surrender. Therefore, He makes him eat His own food, i.e., He grants this man Supreme Devotion to Himself. Over and above this, He makes the devotee to live in His own House For ever afterwards this devotee dwells in the Lord's Abode as a Liberated
Sage

What is love?

In a classroom there were several kids, when one of them asked the teacher:

- Teacher, what is LOVE ?

The teacher felt the kid deserved the best answer she could give to that intelligent question. Since it was almost time for a break, she asked every student to go around the school and come back with something that would bring the feeling of love.

The kids rushed out the classroom, and when they came back the teacher said:

- So, I want everybody to show what you brought to the whole class.

The first kid said:

- I brought this FLOWER, isn’t it beautiful ?

The second kid said:

- I brought this BUTTERFLY. Look at these colorful wings, I am gonna put it in my collection !

The third kid said:

- I brought this YOUNG BIRD. It had fallen with another one from the nest. Isn’t it cute ?

And the kids were showing what they brought.

After almost everybody had showed their discoveries, the teacher noticed that there was a kid who had been quiet all the time. She was ashamed because she had not brought anything. The teacher went to her and asked:

- My dear, why haven’t you brought anything ?

She then answered in an innocent voice:

- I am sorry teacher. I saw the FLOWER, and felt its perfume. I was going to take it, but I preffered to leave it so its perfume would last longer and others could feel it. I also saw the BUTTERFLY, soft, colorful..she seemed so happy that I did not want to disturb it. I also saw the YOUNG BIRD that had fallen between the leafs, but as I climbed the tree, I noticed the said look of it’s mother, so I decided to return it to the nest. Therefore, I only bring with me: the perfume of the flower, the feeling of liberty of the butterfly and the gratefulness of the look of the little bird’s mother. How can I show you what I brought?

The teacher thanked the young kid and gave her an A, because she was the only one that realized that we can
only bring LOVE in our hearts.

What is Excellence?

A gentleman was once visiting a temple under construction.

In the temple premises, he saw a sculptor making an idol of God.
Suddenly he saw, just a few meters away, another identical idol was lying.

Surprised he asked the sculptor, do you need two statutes of the same idol.
No said the sculptor. We need only one,
but the first one got damaged at the last stage.

The gentleman examined the sculptor.
No apparent damage was visible.

Where the damage is asked the gentleman.
There is a scratch on the nose of the idol.

Where are you going to keep the idol?
The sculptor replied that it will be installed on a pillar 20 feet high.

When the idol will be 20 feet away from the eyes of the beholder,
who is going to know that there is scratch on the nose? The gentleman asked.

The sculptor looked at the gentleman, smiled and said,
"The God knows it and I know it ".

The desire to excel should be exclusive of the fact whether someone
appreciates it or not.

Excellence is a drive from Inside not Outside.

Believe in Yourself

If You Try...
The next time you think you don't
measure up or that you can't do it,
remember:

Albert Einstein's parents and teachers
thought he was retarded.
He couldn't speak until he was 9-years old.
He couldn't tie his shoes.

A teacher in Munich wrote in his school report,
'You will never amount to very much.'
This just goes to show that no one is perfect,
and that you can go far if you try.

The key is believing in yourself
even when others don't believe in you.

Money, Relatives or Good Deeds

In one of the Kingdoms, there lived a person named John who had committed few petty crimes, for which the King summoned him to his court for trial. John was very much worried & fearful and hence he wanted somebody to accompany him to the court and hence he approached three of his close associates / friends.

The First friend refused fearing any consequences which can be enforced on him; John disgusted with his reply approached his second friend.

The Second friend with a little bit of hesitation accepted that he will come with him till the entrance of the court only. John declined his support since he thought that, what use will his friend be if he is coming only till the entrance which will no way help him and hence approached his Third friend.

Third friend without any hesitation accepted his request and accompanied him not only till the court but also spoke in support of his friend John & freed him from the clutches of the Kings Trial.

The moral:

The first friend is your MONEY, which means to say that he will not support you or come with you till your end

The Second friend is our RELATIVES - they too cannot help in full but they may max accompany us till the burial ground.

The Third friend is our GOOD DEEDS which will accompany us till the end and there after it will further release us from all sorts of problems / bondages of life cycles also.

HENCE PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT MONEY / WEALTH, RELATIVES HAVE THEIR OWN LIMITATIONS.

So Let's all begin the cycle of GOOD DEEDS to one another selflessly, so that we get released from the cycle of Birth and Death & gain entry easily in Heaven after this life.
Let us all rise above our fights & squabbles and take the mighty plunge into good deeds.
